American Apparel (Berlin)
December 2005

People finding it increasingly important to know more about the working conditions at the factories where the clothes they are about to buy are manufactured. So it is reassuring to know that the plain and well-finished, high quality T-shirts, sweat shirts and other basics from American Apparel — all of them without logos or other imprints — are manufactured exclusively in downtown Los Angeles (100 percent sweatshop-free). The well paid workers at American Apparel have health insurance, as well as other benefits, and are able to express their views and concerns regarding company matters. American Apparel has advanced to become the third largest T-shirt manufacturer in the United States, which is a positive sign for the company's customers as well as its workers. The new store in Berlin is clearly larger than the one at Muenzstrasse 19 in (Berlin-) Mitte, which allows buyers to find every available article in Wilmersdorf.
