I bought one of the Jersey shirts on a fluke, I am glad I did. I have always had trouble with shirts fitting my poorly, I am a fairly big guy. I had to get shirts that were huge on my waist and fit my shoulders and arms well, or find shirts that did the opposite, and they were always too short. AA shirts fit me well, that is why I bought 6 of them.

So how exactly long are the medium and large size t-shirts? I am 6'5", slim and cannot really decide which one should I order.
Thank you.

I am a taller fellow (6"3), and these shirts are the only ones which have ever fit me properly length wise. The only problem I have found is that they do shrink a bit over time with frequent use of a dryer. Hanging them up to dry has been a successful resolve to this problem. yes

This is almost a perfect shirt. I only main problem is if you have a big neck the collar starts to fold on you. I a retailer an sell these shirt for my company. I have received multiple complaints about the collar folding over. Once the collar issue is fixed this shirt will be PERFECT!

i got over designs on shirts and started hurting the plains. after a short run of ill-fitting generic brand t-shirts, i bought a fine jersey short sleeve and haven't turned back, now there the only shirts in my wardrobe. skating in these shirts is the best, due to light weight and shizz.

Message to American Apparel: Never ever change the length. The length is brilliant.
Rated it:

Great fit through arms and chest! Hard to find that "true to size" there. Blacks were longer than the whites, which seem short. Laundered well in cold and dried on low. Seem to develop and hold odor under mild exertion like polypro...haven't figured that out yet. Never had that problem with cotton tees before. Washed once before worn. Excellent fit, "homemade", a couple quirks.

These t-shirts are the most comfortable t-shirts I've ever owned. For that reason, I own several in various colors. I recently purchased some black t-shirts and found the neck to be a bit snug. However, after stretching it out a bit and a few washes the shirt feels great.

i ordered 3 of these and they arrived today. i liked them a lot but i must say the neck area was REALLY tight. im going to try washing them then seeing how it works out, though that hopefully doesnt shrink it. it wasnt a big deal but something i noticed right away. also as many people stated, these shirts are quite long.

What a great t-shirt. I wish I'd found these years ago. Bought 6 of these in size medium: 3 black, 1 white, 1 royal blue, 1 gold. I'm tall and thin/athletic build, and I like the more fitted tees. Finally a tee that is cut right in the body, but also long enough in the sleeves and overall length. I can wear these under work shirts and they're long enough to actually stay tucked in! Material is great too. Made in America. The durability remains to be seen. It was tough to cough up that much cash for plain cotton t-shirts, but I'm very satisfied in retrospect.

I've got a few of the 50/50 shirts, and i liked them. So I decided to try one of these in the color black. I was really satisfied because it fit even better than the 50/50 shirt. It actually fit perfectly. So I decided to order a few more colors, in the same size.

To my disapointment, only 2 of the 4 shirts I ordered actually looked good. The other ones were ridicilously long and didn't even fit close to the perfection of my previous black one.

I really dislike how the length and overall fit is so extremely different between colors.

Brilliant range of colors, and the quality of the t-shirts is second to none. They feel 'just right' like a heavily worn shirt. The length however lets them down - way too long! If the target market is the 'weirdly proportioned' then it's a winner, if not I'd definitely shorten the length. I would order again if this changed.

PLEASE don't change the length of these shirts. I have four teenage sons who are all over 6ft. tall and have a thin build. These are the only shirts on the market that fit them. There are plenty of t-shirts for short and average men. I have been ordering these shirts for years and may be your best customer.

6' 2", 180 lbs. Athletic build. Bought M and L to test fit, M is perfect after first wash (cold, low tumble try). Gone through countless clothing lines in the past looking for a shirt that doesn't tent my long torso, and finally found it here. Those complaining about the length need to experiment with different AA sizes. Please do not change current construction and you will not lose this customer.

The shirt is slightly too long...end of story. The 2001 style was the shit & still is. But I will say that this shirt is still really nice & once you dry in a few times it's not as long as it was...def not as long as the ridiculous Summer T.

DO NOT CHANGE THE LENGTH. EVER.

this is what makes them the best shirts ever, along with the slim fit and quality. More colots would be nice! I've got so many of them, i'd like a tan/khaki/mustard sort of color!

Don't change them at all, except add more colors!

Great colors. The fit is a little quirky, but it works well for me. And they seem to fit better the longer you wear them. Closest thing to a complaint is that they're pretty thin, so the lighter colors are a little transparent. Oh, and that you can't get the 3 pack in xs!

I purchased these pants online a few weeks ago knowing I would need to wear them as soon as they arrived in the mail. I own the regular non-corderoy slim slack in a 27, which fits fairly well even though I normally wear a 25. I purchased these in a 27, and they are wayyy too big and make me look like a man. Great. Otherwise they are comfortable and seem durable.

Agree with posts about new length. I have some older M AA tees which fit perfectly, my newly received ones fresh out of the pack is a bit too long and fitted loose round the chest. A wash and a roll through the tumble dryer improved it but shouldn't need to do that...

These T-shirts are amazing. I ordered a three-pack for my boyfriend in France and he absolutely loved them. He's not super skinny but he has a small frame and narrow shoulders so it was nice to see him in something that actually wasn't too big across the chest and in the sleeves for once, and even though he's pretty short (5'6" or 1m68ish) they weren't too long (in S), which I had been worried about. He was happy because they're so soft and comfy, I was happy because he looked so damn cute. Ladies, this is an excellent piece of fashion compromise: hip in the way that guys like to wear their clothes.

I didn't like the fit of the shirt so returned it. Too long in the body and the sleeve. Possibly a good fit for taller guys, but not for small to normal. I prefer JCrew's T's - they offer a more slim/tailored fit.

I"m about 5'10" and reasonably athletic, tending toward the thinner side. The small fits me more or less perfectly except for a little bunching on the shoulders (the medium would be too big I think). I have read comments about the shirts being too long - this is probably true if you wear them untucked. I wear them tucked in for the most part. It might not be a bad idea to have two separate lines in two different lengths.

5'7, size 4 (USA) / size 8 (UK/Australia) -- if you're the same, get the XS. it stretches when you wear it, but shrinks back to size after a wash.

awesome, simple hoodie. shag fleece / melange factor makes it stand out, with the bonus of being super comfy. works as a good spring / autumn jacket on its own, and you can layer it under a bomber jacket if it gets THAT cold.

I hate these new shirts. American Apparel used to make the best fitting T-shirt for me (5' 10'', 150 lbs.), but due to customer feedback, this shirt has gotten longer and wider. I bought the fine jersey short sleeve for years, because it felt fitted without being snug. I bought mediums and shrunk them. The old shirts fell right at my waist, but the new cut is almost three inches longer. In addition, the fit is broader in the middle; the shirt billows. It seems like AA has changed this shirt to fit slightly overweight men, guys with a waistline large than their shoulders. Are the hipsters developing a weight problem? The neck is tighter too, another unwelcome change (or inconsistency?). I'm through with American Apparel, and I'll shop for the next perfect T-shirt elsewhere.

I've been hunting the perfect t-shirt for decades and so I own many high quality brands when it comes to t-shirts. While no where near as nice as my favorites, this one would rank better than most, except that it's far too long. So if you have a long torso, or prefer your t-shirts to cover your butt, then you'll probably like it, but I like my casual t-shirts to stop at the hips. Unfortunately, this fits too much like t-shirts made for business attire for my taste.

I'll also mention that the size I tried on fit like a glove (tight enough that I had man boobs), so it wasn't like I had the wrong size or anything. I'm also skinny and can only imagine that it would've been worse if I were not.

These shirts are fantastic. I've never fealt more me. I am no longer a walking branding excersise. Sometimes I feel happy so i wear a blue shirt. Sometimes I feel I can I identify with the downtrodden, so I wear a black shirt. I went to a blues gig and I wore a brown shirt. It was a good choice. Black was too rock n roll. ..No vulgar patterns or designs all over them. Just a good fitting, simple, comfortable shirt. What more could I need..... I like my shirt.

I bought these after being very satisfied with the jersey polos I got. These have the same great material. Look and feel great. Fit basically as I expected them to (5' 9" about 120 Pounds. Smalls) The fit is fairly consistent though a few might be tighter than others, but not uncomfortably (the sleeves on one are a bit tighter, but not too noticeable.) They aren't broken in yet, so I will update if quality changes.

this product is soft, tight and warm, i got mine in teal, tis a very tight and well fitting shirt, and is great value too.
and they had one in extra small!(one of the best things about american apparel is that they cater to skinny people very well!)

the only bad things are the shirt is a bit too long, only by a few cm, but a little too long nonetheless, although its better than it being too short. and that the aqua color is not aqua, its dark teal. but apart from that, this shirt kicks serious booty!

CHAD I'm 5'8", 165, and a medium fits fine for me (not loose but not skin tight either). I think an XL for you would probably be fine, but you might be able to go for a L if you don't mind a more fitted style. Oh, and don't worry about it being too short, my medium is longer than any medium shirts I've gotten elsewhere, its as long as most of my large sized tees.

PS These shirts are super soft, even plush-like compared to generic tshirts, amazing fabric quality.

These are pretty cool t-shirts. They're well made, come in a range of colours, and don't have shitty meaningless numbers (like "1976" - wtf?) or phrases stitched on. Nor will you find paint spatters or any of the other junk they plaster all over t-shirts now... Unless you want to put it there yourself. You see, they are PLAIN t-shirts.

Yeah, they're on the longish side, but I don't have a problem with that.

I've purchased a lot of AA Fine Jersey T-shirts on-line. Lately, I've received a few shirts that have uneven sleeves (one wider that the other). Also, with Slate and Asphalt colors (my favorites), I've noticed discoloration around the collar after a couple of washes. It's not related to bleach or detergent residue in the washer, as no other laundry items are affected.

I'm 6'0" with an average build, what size would I wear? I don't like my shirts to be really long, and I don't want my belt to show.

I ordered a red, an eggplant, and a light blue version of this shirt, all size small. I'm 5'9" and 142lbs. The red and eggplant fit me almost flawlessly after one wash/dry cycle; a little form-fitting across the chest, sleeves hug my biceps, all of that good stuff I've come to desire in a basic t-shirt (perhaps in a less expensive one, but oh well).

Though I'm really disappointed in the light blue shirt. Same size but... the sleeves flare out as if they were given two extra inches of extra, useless cloth for their circumference (or whatever it's called in textile terms). This holds true after one wash/dry cycle. The theory of mine is that it may be like that due to sitting in a boiling hot vat of dye for a less amount of time than something like a red or eggplant colored t-shirt.

Regardless, it will require a bit of alteration, and that's somewhat of an inconvenience.

Brownie points to American Apparel for being anti-Sweat Shop. That is what I really enjoy about their clothes.

i read a lot of the reviews, and i agree with this being the best fitting shirt, especial for skinny guys. im very thin, so i've never found a shirt that actually made me look alright until i found these.
and for the reviews about the wrinkles or creases under the armpit, these shirts are made that way for the reason of it fitting so well, looking so well. it gives me form, im not just a skinny guy in a rag anymore. the shirt goes around me, and shape. i noticed other shirts i dont get those creases, and those are the ones i hate how i look in them.
these are really really great, i wont buy any others.

An excellent fit that approaches snug without feeling constricted. It wears very light - almost as though it's not even there - which is ideal in hot weather. Own about 15 of these shirts in all, doubles in some colours. Great shirt, good for everyday wear, but what stops them from getting 5 stars is the variance between shirts. Fit between 2 shirts tried on on the same day at the same store, in the same colour & size is different. Cut of shirts seems to have changed over time as well. Quality of stitching can very from perfect to slightly below std. (ie: perfect stitch to 'bunching' occurring), overall good shirts, but quality control is lagging.

this shirt is a classic but DO NOT DRY. instead, air dry. that way it won't shrink. that being said, AA has done wonders to the world of color. however, they have left out black. what about some other shades of it? i guess that would be grey but still, light black? dark black? haha.

Bought my first T a year ago at the Memphis, TN store. I am about 5-10/150 lbs and the shirt fits perfectly. The seam on the sleeve ring came loose, but it was pretty easy to fix up.

I didn't notice too much shrinking after washing. The fabric and colors are so sharp that a friend actually thought I was wearing a dry-fit running shirt! I am definitely buying another.

The quality of the material is excelent. Very comfortable to wear. The ordering and delivery was hassle free. There's just one little thing I wasn't 100% happy with, the crease between the front of the armpit and the collar is a bit too obvious. But it wont stop me from purchasing more of them.

This is the best shirt EVER. I didn't believe it... but I went to the American Apparel store to hopefully put an end to my search for the perfect white t-shirt. And I'll be damned if I didn't find it.

I'm about 6ft, 200lbs, and the large fits perfect. Perfect length, perfect sleeves, and most important of all. The neckhole isn't big at all, so the shirt doesn't look sloppy at all. And with the colors... this is DEF the best shirt I've ever owned. Good shyt AA, good shyt.

I really like my tees. I'm 5'11", 185 lbs. and the large shrank a bit to fit well. Not tight or too loose and a good length (I have a longer torso). I'll def. get more. I wish I could pick the colors I want in a three (or more pack) or at least have choices of what tees I could put into a 3 or 7 pack to get ALL the colors I really like (hence 4 stars).

A great shirt. Soft and well proportioned. You couldn't ask for more from a T-shirt! I have it in many colors. I strongly suggest buying. If you wash your cloths in hot water, I suggest getting a size larger and then it will fit perfectly.

I'm a long-armed, somewhat fit 6'2" 200 lbs this shirt changed my marriage in a good way. Yep it does somewhat wrinkle in the shoulders (the wrinkles actually radiate out from around the armpits) but it's in a good way, supposed to do that - very flattering, If the sleeve has slack around my arms the shirt is telling me it's time to go pound some nails. Just placed my third order this year.

Still waiting for AA to open its Barcelona store!!
I´d like to see rarer colors. Copper, crimson, olive, evergreen, galaxy, dark raspberry, bronze, pumpkin... Fully covered palettes rock my world!
I havent seen the white in these tees but I'd like it to be a soft, soft ever-so-slightly-creeamish white as it tends to be so HYSTERICAL on most basics from most high street stores here in Europe.

Yay. Thanks. Im a fan!

hey, i ended up getting a medium before even reading this, haha, thanks for the reply though man.

About the tee.. fits great! The length is PERFECT. I'm sick of short shirts that hang off me as well. finally a good slim tee with the right amount of length and i'm in love with their navy and cranberry colours. I will be buying only these shirts from now on.

I recommend AA to make these in a khaki/tan color, there's no available colors close to it which makes me sad. haha, but the navy and cranberry mediums are where it's at!

i might get a large next if this shrinks a tad but i'm pretty happy after one wash.

much love from australia

Not that great of a T because the sleeves seem to wrinkle way too much; I think it could use another inch on the length.

Better than any other T though and better than paying 100 $ for some graphic T that fits even worse on smaller people.

5 8' 153 lbs and yes this is one of the only T's that even come close to fitting properly.

also the colors stain with deoderant, atleast the two brands i've used, old spice and gillette

I'm 5'7/130 and wore a medium and the shirt feels great. Compared to regular shirts, AA ones are shorter sleeve wise, and longer vertically. Like what everyone else has said, AA is more toward tall/skinny people. But for my body type, and style considerations(not for a slim fit, but normal feel), the medium is a great fit for me.

I've always loved the feel of these T-shirts, but the latest ones are WAY too long. I bought an XS because I'm skinny and I like my shirts snug, but it's still so long that I can't wear it.

I understand that longer T-shirts are a fad right now (one that's hopefully fading fast), but AA, how about giving us a true retro-sized option? Just offer one T-shirt that fits like shirts from the late '70s and early '80s. That's all I want.

Or if you won't do that, at least include the shirt length in your size chart so we know what we're buying.

I would give only 3 stars, but I like the variety of colours. Why not 5-stars? Because these are just plain shirts, people. For their value, their overpriced. And the softness? Yes, they are soft and comfortable. It's called quality fabric; but these reviews make them sound orgasmic.

Unfortunately the sleeves on this shirt don't fit like they used to. I ordered some 2001's a few years ago and the sleeves had a nice tailored cut to them. I highly recommend AA products, but this shirt would not be one I'd recommend at all. I have shirts such as the 50/50, tri-blend, and summer tee, and they are all amazing shirts.
But this shirt is horrid. It shrinks a fair amount, and the material is no where near as soft as the shirts I mentioned above. It actually feels a lot like the shirts given away for promotions- rough, gritty cotton sort of feel. bad shirt! Try other awesome AA shirts! Male, 176 cm (5'10"), and 70 kg (155 lbs). I own 3 of these shirts.

People who give ratings here, making comments like "Best t-shirt ever!" are seriously overrating this shirt. It's a nice shirt, and I love them because AA is the only place to get a wide selection of colours.

However, they don't fit brilliantly, nor is the material so extremely soft and great. It's good old cotton.....the cotton you know and love. That's it. It's not the skin-gasmic experience people here are having.

I'm quite lean and have an athletic build, so my experience with regards to fit may differ, but when I first bought my shirts in Medium, I thought they were too big on my body. They were a bit too "roomy", so they looked sloppy when I wore them. They were all too long. Then I washed them in hot water, hoping they'd shrink. Yep, they certainly do shrink! Now the fit is much better. I think the sleeves are too long by about 2 cm (1"). I think the length of the t-shirt (after a hot wash) is good. The body isn't too loose, but definitely not form fitting.

If I had to buy this shirt again, I'd consider buying a small. However, the medium fits me well.

I'm giving it 3 stars. The shirt probably deserves a 3.5/5, but I'm going to round down to combat the large number of overly high ratings found here.

The colour and feel of these t-shirts are second to none. They would be perfect if the bottom wasn't so long. I just don't see the point, it doesn't look good. I bought a 3-pack in size small, one of them shrunk to about the size I'm after, but the other two have not yet. Hopefully they do!

I get these in Small. I'm 6'0/6'1 and about 170-175 lbs. Slender. A medium would be too big if you like a slim shirt, that's not skin tight. It's the most amazing t-shirt ever. Color stays true through washings, sweat-shop free made, what more could you ask for?

I'm strongly considering selling roughly every shirt I own on eBay and using the money to buy tons of these shirts.

Keep it up AA.

Excellent fit until you wash them several times. For me, I've found that if I wash/dry the small once it shrinks to just the perfect fit (I'm 5'11" and 140lbs), but after that I have to hang dry them in order to prevent further shrinking which is kind of annoying. I'm a little afraid to buy a medium because I don't know if it would shrink down enough. Also, the slate color does not look the same in person - it's really purple! AA should have a better "medium" gray color...something between asphalt and heather grey that isn't purple-ish.

Amazing colors, but too long. The color selection is great however i just bought a cranberry in medium and a purple in small, and the medium fits pefect but its so long! it goes past my pockets (i'm 5'9'' 150lbs), but the purple fits well. I'm just woried about whether it will shrink or not though.

Well, at a website that sells band merchandise, I got a shirt printed on American Apparel, and it is definitely the most comfortable shirt I have. It doesn't really fit that small like I thought it would, although sleeves are a little snug, but that's fine, and it does fit great. I'm definitely going to get more of these shirts.

I ordered an organic dijon is size small, and the color is nice, just the fit ain't too great. I'm 5'10, 140 lbs, and the sleeves are a little long on me, and the bottom of the shirt hangs a little too low below the waistline. I wish I ordered this in XS. if you want a fitted look i recommend going a size down.

man, this shirt is great comfort-wise, but I must admit, it has been the source of great frustration at times. I'm 6' tall, 175 lbs., medium build, and have a tremendously hard time getting the right fight on these doggies. for a while I was buying mediums, which are always plenty big pre-wash, but two or three months down the road, without fail, they always go mini, and shrink halfway up my back and/or chest when standing up straight. to add to the frustration there seems to be no standard sizing on the shirts (fluxuation within a size) and there have been several re-stylings/sizings within the past couple years. I'm tired of the short shirt, but am nervous to size up, as I've seen all the other comments here about length problems. just want a shirt that fits well, not loose, but not constricting, that does not need to receive precious drying treatment to avoid shrinking, and that will not go halfway up my back when I reach to grab something. anybody else out there my same size who wears a size large? how does it fit post-wash? can't keep wasting money...somebody help me out here.

There's many people who are looking for an XS but unless you are really really short, like as in less than 5 feet, a Small would be fine. Maybe a little long, so shink it. I'm 5 feet 4 (162cm) and it's fine when I wear a small. I just fold the bottom of the shirt inside an inch or so and it's good~~ So don't worry, and you will grow into it, it's not like you will always stay short.

to chime in on the raging controversy: i love the new cut. I am 6' 185 with rather broad shoulders and a 32-33" waist.

I used to wear the old XL but it was a bit baggy once you got below the nipples. The old L was too tight in the arms but fit great lower down.

The new L is the best of both worlds: great cut all the way down, tight enough in the sleeves and neck without being constricting. I own 4 and will buy a 7 pack. I still wear my old XLs but mostly to the gym where the extra room doesn't bother me.

Even up until earlier this year, I would have given these shirts a 5. They were perfect! The last couple I've received in the mail have been, yup, waaaay too long. The sleeves have gotten bigger, too. These shirts used to be form-fitting and comfy, but now I feel awkward in them. My body is somewhat muscular, too, so I imagine that these shirts would look even worse on a thinner body.
Holding the shirt I received today against one that's a few years old, the new one is easily two inches longer. Thanks for the dress, aa. Bring back the old style, please, or I think I'm done with your (formerly perfect) shirts.

Longer shirts lengthen the profile for a slimming look, and allow for shrinkage. Not to mention you get more fabric for your money. No more belly showing when you stand up straight! THANK YOU AA FOR LENGTHENING THE SHIRTS!

This WAS the perfect T, until for some reason AA decided to make it LONGER...I don't want a nightgown I wan a t-shirt. I'm 5'9" tall/ medium build and the M's used to be tailor made for me. For some reason they decided to add a couple inches of material making the shirts look rediculous on my or any similar sized body. For color and quality I give them four stars. For screwing with the length I give them one. Hell...look at the model wearing the t...he has a long torso and the shirt is STILL bunched up near the bottom around his waist.

Easily the best shirt I've ever bought period. I have a long torso and short legs, with extremely wide shoulders. This shirt fits me better than anything on the market. I will buy 100 of these, easy. I also own a small label out the LA area and will be printing all new shirts on this cotton and sustainable cotton.

If you plan to change back to the shorter length, please keep this version as a "Tall" or "Long" edition.

Ordered 5 of these based on the old fit. 2 fit great the other 3 are super long. The coolest thing about these t-s were the fact that they had a number and I could go back and order as many as I wanted based on that number. Not the case. All the cuts are different. Lame. Bring back the old fit.

So how long are these shirts now? Can we have some actual measurements after washing please.

For myself (5'10") I like a tee to have a back length of between 25.5-27 inches long, not including the collar. Anything longer than that and it's just not right, unless you're wearing long shorts.

CONS: the shirt is TOO DAMN LONG! i have bigger hips than the average man & the increased length of these shirts is not doing me any favors...i look even more like a pear! BRING THE SHORTER VERSION BACK!!! the fits are never consistent--always have to look for the *perfect* one...

Yep, they're too long, and a bit too baggy. It's weird because the arms and shoulder area fit great. But they're definitely too long, and a bit too wide. It's lame because in terms of quality cotton, these feel way better than Urban Outfitters. They just aren't slim or short enough - I bought mediums. I'm pretty average too:

5'9"
160 lbs
30-32 " waist
30-32 " inseam

If you're considering trying these shirts, maybe just get the three pack and see what you think. As far as I can tell, these are made for people that have a bit of a gut and/or are just plain taller than me.

Hi. I was wondering if anyone can answer my question before I buy any tops from AA. I'm about 5'5" and 130 pounds. According to the size chart, a small should fit me nicely. I just wanted to know if, because I'm shorter, if the small will look like a dress on me. Thanks, and hope to hear an answer soon!

My one white T-shirt I had that fit perfectly has a hole in it... Not sure why anybody wants a long t-shirt, unless you are really tall (but then you could have a tall size also, if you guys wanted, you have ) thats like those crappy dept. store types that are made long enough to tuck into your pants.
2xist has nice tight T-shirts that are made to fit but are a thinner fabric and only come in white and black.

Just ordered 10 of these based on the great fit of other American Apparel Ts I have. Grant these shrink a ton in the first wash, the new one's I just received are a shocking amount longer. 3" longer than one's I bought a month ago and almost 4" longer than my older AA shirts. That's a dramatic change. I haven't washed the new ones yet, but they really are making the new ones long. And no length info in their sizing chart allows them to get away with this. I bet the returns are through the roof. Should communicate changes like this better as they have everything to lose from their once loyal customers.

too long

:(

i wear cheapo hanes almost exclusively, and then a year ago people kept raving about aa shirts, and so my sister got me one, but it didn't fit because it was yes... too long. then i said, well maybe i just got a bad cut, but then i got another one recently and again it was toooo long. like at least 2 to 3 inches too long. this is coming from someone who has a super long torso to begin with. I'm 6' and 70% torso. Maybe the problem is, while some dudes prefer a super tight small fit, (where it cuts in on your chest and armpits..which not might be the case for chest-less skinny slim hipsters with ultra skinny builds) the small fits fine..lenght wise, sure, but as soon as you go up to medium(which fits me, and other average builds), its like a dress. until you guys make them shorter then i will regretfully have to keep wearing bland hanes white tshirts..as much as i really love your color selection i just can't go around wearing a t-skirt. :( pleaaaase make them shorter.

Chris--if you like longer shirts, give it a try. It may still seem too long/like a dress when you get it, but they do shrink gradually the first few times you wash them. They're not loose or baggy, which is what I love about them. What size would work best would depend on your build.

I have been on the never ending search for a good t-shirt. I have heard nothing but good things about AA t-shirts. Could someone who knows PLEASE answer my few questions? I would be so ever grateful!

-I see from what people say that these are long. I LOVE longer shirts, but not dresses. Will these be too long (for a guy that likes a longer t-shirt who is about 5'10"?

-I HATE t-shirt necks that are too loose. I like them nice and snug around my neck. Are these snug or loose around the neck?

-I hate overly baggy t-shirts. Given what everyone has said about shrinkage with these, does it sound like a Large would fit well?

The ones that fit are amazing, but it's a pain when you get the same size thinking you're set, only to realize the shirts aren't really standard.

ive finally found the ideal shirt! im about 6ft, 63kg (135lbs or so..), quite thin. i just got a shipment 2001 style shirts (all XS) and they fit like a glove. im used to altering all of my shirts - most of the time i need to take in an XS, and even then the sleeves are massive on me. these fit straight out of the box, and i dont mean a half-hearted fit - perfect across the chest, and perfect around the waist. awesome length and width in the sleeves. not at all clingy, either.

im so stoked about it. what makes it even better is the length. a lot of people have complained about the extra length, but if you have a tall torso - like myself - it is perfect. no longer do i find myself pulling my shirts down to meet my belt line and cover my undies haha.

and comfort? sheesh.. lets just say im not gonna be wearing any other cut of shirt for a long long while.

seriously, you tall, skinny guys, invest in a few of these.

Still nice and soft but the new fit is horrible. I went out the other night in my new t-shirt and felt awkward, uncomfortable and couldn't kick any game whatsoever. I realized the next day that is was because my shirt was waaaaay too long.

I'm glad I bought a whole bunch of AA shirts a couple years ago... hopefully that will hold me over until their "design team" realizes that dudes don't want t-shirts that go down to their knees. The old cut was perfect people! Bring it back!

the length is never consistant. sometimes they are too short, many times they are too long and rarely are they "just right". All the people complaining about the longer length are CUH-RAZY. Other brands of t-shirts are horribly short and with my frame, those often hardly cover the beltline. Longer length is necessary to compensate for the shrinking effect of the Fine Jersey fabric, they can be longer when purchased but eventually shrink to a comfortable level. This good for some, disappointing for others.

Also-- If you like your shirts baggy and long and unflattering, why are you even on this site?
