This shirt is personally the best fitting I have found thus far in my searches. I am 6'2.5, 170 lbs, fairly broad shoulders but slim athletic otherwise, no belly. I wear a 32W 34L pant, slim cut. Pardon the details, but it really would have helped me out, so I'll try to be thorough. Admittedly, I haven't looked at many brands, but I'm glad I went to A.apparel fairly early on. At first I tried out the 2001 jersey in M and L, but after washing and drying, the M was too tight and short, and the large still had way too much room around the waist, so I was stuck between sizes. Granted, I still use the large as a running shirt, but it looks sloppy if I'm going out. Next, I went to the 50-50 polyblend M (read that it fit 'taller' than the jersey). When I pulled it out of the bag, it fit a little long, but the chest/shoulder fit was perfect, modern but not bunched up in my armpits. The wash and dry brought it down to perfect length, ~2" below my belt (so I'm not showing my navel every time I raise my arm), suprisingly without tightening up around the torso. Sleeve length was also fine, didn't even notice it, which is the way you want it. I must also say I prefer the feel of the poly blend to the 100% cotton, it breathes, and feels very light on me, in a good way. You might want to double up in the winter, but that's better than having stuffy shirt in the summer. The fit also left me a little room, so that if I bulked up 5-10 lbs, I think it would still fit well. I can't comment on durability yet, as I've only had my shirts for a month or so, but so far so good. So if you're a slim and fit guy, 6'2"+, ~165-180 lbs, and need a modern fit tshirt with enough length to still fit great after more than one wash, and enough space to not crowd you chest/shoulders, I'd go for the 50-50 blend over the jersey cotton, in M if you're my size. |
