We know that we've been lame about the Slim Slacks. We're having problems getting denim in the quality and quantity that we need, and we apologize for the delays. Some good news however; we have just finished another limited run of them in some unusual colors. They'll be available in Rust, Slate, Bright Purple, and Almost Black. In addition to the online store, we'll be shipping them to the following retail locations:

Amsterdam, Atlanta Little Five Points, Berkeley, Berlin Munzstrasse, Beverly Hills Robertson, Boston Back Bay, Cambridge Brattle Street, Chicago Gold Coast, Chicago Wicker Park, Cologne, Dallas Mockingbird Station, Edmonton, Evanston Church Street, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Halifax, Houston Montrose, Huntington Beach, London Carnaby St., London Portobello Rd., Los Angeles Cherokee, Los Angeles Westwood, Los Angeles Melrose, Los Angeles Los Feliz, Los Angeles Hollywood, Los Angeles Echo Park, Los Angeles Little Tokyo, Mexico City, Miami Ocean Drive, Miami Lincoln Road, Montreal St Laurent, Montreal St Denis, Montreal Cours Mont-Royal, Munich, New Orleans, New York City Chelsea, New York City Lower East Side, New York City Columbus Circle, New York City Upper East Side, New York City Park Slope, New York City Columbia University, New York City Williamsburg, New York City Noho, New York City Soho, New York City Tribeca, New York City Flatiron District, Ottawa Rideau Center, Paris Marais, Paris Beaurepaire, Paris St. Germain, Paris Marche St. Honore, Pittsburgh Shadyside, Portland Stark, San Diego Pacific Beach, San Diego Hillcrest, San Francisco Haight Ashbury, San Francisco Cow Hollow, Santa Monica, Seattle University Way, Seattle Capitol Hill, Seoul Kangnam, Seoul Myungdong, Seoul Hong Dae, Tempe, Toronto Queen St, Toronto Bloor St., Tel Aviv, Tokyo Shinsaibashi, Tokyo Daikanyama, Tokyo Shibuya, Vancouver Burnaby, Vancouver West 4th, Vancouver Granville, Washington D.C. Lincoln Square, West Hollywood, and Zurich.

Keep your eyes peeled, they will be going out over the next few days.

The next few days?! I don't think we're going to fall for that one again.
Two days= a week? a month? TWO months?
C'mon AA, regain our trust and have these out to use ASAP!!!!!!

how about the non unusual colors like white?

Posted by: aaron dude 2/23/2007  14:20
thank the lord. i was starting to think i'd have to spend my gift certificate on 10 barrel O belts.
i am still sort of curious on the sizing. seeing i dont really know which size to order.

Posted by: hi 2/23/2007  18:42
same here...don't know what size...i figure i'll just order one in many sizes and return the ones that don't fit.

Posted by: lisa 2/25/2007  12:41
well i'm psyched for bright purple and rust..

Posted by: chris 2/25/2007  20:12
what sizes will you be offering?

P.S love the new flex fleece hoody!!!

Posted by: tony 2/25/2007  22:04
i dont even care anymore
...you guys arnt "that" amazing

I'm really disappointed that it's taken this long for AA to keep us up to date on what's happening, especially after all of the intial hype. Also disappointed that all Michigan locations were left off of this list. :\ "Over the next few days"... I won't be holding my breath. I'm taking my bright colored stretchy denim needs elsewhere for now.

Well I'm gonna make a stop by my nearest AA store since it is listed and see this Rust color and how it looks in real life, I have some red pants of yours and love em btw

Though since it is pretty far I would appreciate a more approximate date next time, since its a bit of a travel

Thanks for the update! I look forward to purchasing a pair.

Posted by: Claire 2/28/2007  20:12
Do you have an estimate for when the slacks will actually be at said stores? Don't want to visit the store to find that they're not there yet and I have to go back a few days later . . .

Posted by: seff 3/02/2007  17:23
No colorado??? Boooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Posted by: esme 3/03/2007  16:28
yeah, fuck come on

Posted by: irezumi 3/05/2007  16:47
this is getting ridiculous
so far, 'the next few days' already means a week and a half and counting. from now on, i'm going to assume that 'next few days' means at least two weeks.
we need an AA conversion table or something, where you type in an amount of days and it computes how many AA days that would come out to be. For example: 2 AA days, so far, equals 11 real world days.

Posted by: matt 3/05/2007  17:02
it would be nice if colorado was added

Posted by: perry 3/05/2007  17:55

Stop teasin' me!

Posted by: jon 3/10/2007  19:18

this is kind of a good marketing strategey

Posted by: hoi 3/11/2007  04:03
i'm ticked off because i got the peacock slim slacks online and they're two sizes too big!

when and IF they go back online (australia needs american apparel!), i'll have to wing it (again). oh you americans, you have no idea how lucky you are...

Posted by: Columbia Store 3/11/2007  10:54
New York Columbus Circle just got a lot of cool colors, but we are still waiting for ours here at Columbia :) hope to see them soon

I just got a brand new pair of ashpalt Slim Slacks. Mmm they smell so brand new! The weird thing is, these are 28's. I am nowehre near 28. My Almost Black Slim Slacks are 32 and fit fine, and these 28's fit the same. How does that make sense??? The asphalt ones feel different too, they're more stretchy and much thinner and less stiff than my Almost Blacks. I don't understand!

Posted by: chase Bratton 3/12/2007  17:12
quit teasing us and come out with a regular line!
and in realistic men's size! not just 24 inch waists!

Posted by: JJ 3/13/2007  16:38
I got my hands on a pair of the Asphalt (Slate?) 32s! They fit exactly as the other pairs I have in 32 as well. They are 4-5" inches longer though -- which I guess is good if you're 6'7" or something... They are less soft then the other pairs but that's probably because of the different dyeing method. No fear, I'll work'em out though!
btw, if anyone is looking to sell a pair of DARK PEACOCK, SIZE 32 -- hit me up, I'll buy 'em!

Posted by: Matt 3/15/2007  12:41
Are there going to be any size 34 when they go online?

Posted by: lauren 3/15/2007  14:26
we just got some at md1. i love the purple's but....MAKE 25s!!!! pleaseeee. 24s are too small and 26s are too big! come on guys

30 pairs of these bad girls hit PE2 (Univ o Pittsburgh) just last week. Almost Black, Bright Purple, Peacock, and Asphalt.

And yes, they're F'ing great. I wore mine for about 2 miuntes before an SUV full of teenagers yelled "Nice pants, Faggit!", which is the Pittsburgh equivalent of "You look good in a modern sort of way."

Get 'em while they're hot.

Posted by: dyl 3/21/2007  22:31
yeah these things are long as fuck and almost as tight as actual tights...I had to roll up the bottom some, so someone like uh jordan'll be okay.

kinda cool and embarrassing. i feel like a punk in the black ones.

Posted by: manderson 3/24/2007  17:20
when are they going to be on the online store?!? i need me some bright purple slacks!

Posted by: Pixie 3/25/2007  07:29
Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!

I went to the store in Richmond, VA for some spring shopping and they had the Slim Slacks! I picked up a pair of Peacock size 27. They are awesome! The 27 fit me perfectly around my waist AND bootie, rare indeed! There's not that HUGE gaping excess of fabric in the back when I sit down. Please don't change the sizes or fabric.

They are really long, but that's easily solved by cuffing the bottoms. I'm only 5ft, so I have to do it to all my pants.

Posted by: lisa 3/25/2007  15:51
I looooooved the purples...but I just picked up the rust ones. Weirdly enough the purple ones in 29 were smaller than the peacock and rust in 29. but I got the rust. they're lovely.

onliners like me keep gettin' sidepiped.

Posted by: rebecca 3/29/2007  17:38
why aren't they online?! and also. the store in south norwalk in ct only has 1 color in my size. and even in new york they said they hadnt gotten any thing in yet.

but uh these pants own me. im very petite and they fit sooo amazingly i dont even have to hem them!

Posted by: h 3/29/2007  23:38
online? yes, no? maybe? any update pleaseee.

Posted by: dsfdsfds 4/05/2007  06:49
Lower the prices of the slacks. Sixty bucks is too much. Make it an even fifty.

Posted by: Kate 4/08/2007  11:14
i bought a pair of black slim slacks last week that i'm going to wear to prom, because i dont like dresses, and slim slacks are awesome

Posted by: rebecca 4/11/2007  08:48
uh woah. 60$ is ridiculously cheap actually. for the material that they use (which is amazing). but uh can we have an update on the colors? thank you! and ya the online store reall;y needs them on there

Posted by: cory 4/12/2007  20:38

Posted by: monique 4/16/2007  07:07
Yeah, too bad I, like the stereotypical asian, have a 29" inseam. These will never fit me. :(
