Price Drop

In between design and color suggestions for the Slim Slack, we've heard a few people grumble about the $74 price tag. We've taken this feedback to heart and we're lowering the price to $68.

Anyone who bought a pair at $74 is encouraged to take their original receipt to any American Apparel store to get a refund for the difference.

And for those of you yet to get your pair - keep an eye out to make sure you're getting the correct, lower price at the register.

The best part is, since we're enlarging the pockets of the slacks, you'll have a place to comfortably keep that extra six bucks.

Although the price drop is good thing (while not necessarily economically significant) i'm still not wetting my already slim, trendy and reasonably priced pants in anticipation of their arrival. The bottom line is, I'm not impressed with the slim slacks, the feeback has infact been more negative than positive, and the already well below sub-par service I receive from every store i've visited in ontario (ottawa, and montreal) isn't much of an incentive to go out and get the pants. American Apparel needs to extend its male clothing line, and shape-up whatever mission statement they give to their new employees and lower their prices all around. AA knows that the youth make most of their market, so they should also take in to account that Univerity students already pay enough as it is. Love the t-shirts though.....

Don't listen to him. I have received friendly and volunteered service at all of the AA stores I have visited (NorCal area). Plus, $74 is not a ridiculous price for a nice pair of pants; I appreciate the pants, and am stoked on getting another pair. Basically he is just mad at the world.

68$ is still kinda pricy.
there are levis for like 48$.

yes, and um, are those levis made by people paid a decent wage?
no.

are the trials still going on,
if so is it still the normal length, and pocket size and colors..

or can you go to a store and get 34 inch length?

68 is a little steep, considering many places sell some sweet jeans for less. granted, they are usually on sale but if you spend an hour or two looking around there's usually a good deal somewhere.

i agree with letdown that the male line has to be expanded. there is pretty much a disproportionate amount of styles for women as compared to the selection for men.

cant i just pick these up at the factory?

Yeah guys, most other retailers wouldn't have paid attention to price complaints. AA is the best.

what's the sizing? can you put a size chart up for them? i think you guys need to revise your sizing and size charts because everything is so tight when i follow your size charts... and its annoying to have to buy larges and extra larges when im not fat or anything.. do you even make clothes that would fit larger people? you need to flatter more people not just really skinny little boys and girls.

Enlarging the pockets and lowering the price is good. Please offer the same length it is now; many of ur customers are not tall enough for 34 inseam length! Thank you!

still too too too baggy. they look like they'd fit guys fairly well, but what about the ladies? they should be tight all the way to the ankles. they look pretty bootcut to me. =(.

Hold on, are these button or zipper fly's?

I dont know any other clothing company that would pay attention to the price of the pants, thank you AA for being concerned if your all your follwers can afford the pants

Idk. feelin em' a lot. Lower dem prices another 6$ and youll have another sale. I agree w/ the mens line. If you look at the number of guys that wear it, compared to the girls you should have more for us brawny men

Do you guys think you'll have these available for wholesale? I'd love to sceenprint onto them.

I think that's cool of you guys, man. You didn't have to, and I'm sure people still would have purchased them, but that's awesome.

are they ever going to be available online?

Hey, Katie. Yep, once they're ready, we'll have them in stores and online! Don't worry, they're on their way.. -Lisa
