We received an e-mail at the factory from Eugene Wong in Canada telling
us how much he loved our hosiery. Which had us a bit confused at first but
after a quick Google search, we learned that this is a growing trend among
men. As strange as it may seem, I'm sure most people would be on
the "no" side of the fence. But Eugene looks pretty dandy in his color-
coordinated tights.
To quote
a recent article in The
Telegraph:
"We expect men to be wearing them," said someone
from Selfridges, "not only as a way to give legs an extra boost of warmth
on the chilliest nights, but as a true style statement." Today's New Zealand Herald also
ran
an article on the trend and
there'a whole
website set up for hosiery advocacy.
Tights were the fashion of the day of Louis XIV and our founding fathers.
And it's been on the runways like
Givenchy and
Bernhard Willhelm and it's been reported on the streets of
NY. But is this ready for the mainstream? If you're a daring man willing to try
it out, you've got
plenty of options in our online
store.
