American Apparel
Sergej
March 2006

American Apparel is a United States company which has dedicated itself to the youth cult, and which began without any financial backing by established investors. The garments of this clothing chain are selling well without any slogans or logos; instead they captivate with their vibrant colors. To be sure, compared to "Hasi and Mausi", American Apparel is slightly more expensive, but in return American Apparel offers its most popular styles in a sustainable edition, made from certified pesticides-free cotton.

Another positive point: The company's employees are paid substantially more than the legal minimum wage of industrial nations. In addition, the employees are an integral part of the company's culture and philosophy. How very interesting! The location of the store at Hackescher Markt is a preferred shopping area of the gay community, and a haven for the caf éculture. Also, the trendy decoration of the store, lovingly put in place, dispels any remaining doubt. Does is not?!
