1. What type of credit cards do you accept?
A: We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS and DISCOVER.
3. If I place my order today, when will it ship?
A: All orders for standard UPS delivery placed before 3:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time will be shipped the same day with the condition that the order is credit approved. Next day orders must be placed before 3pm.
4. What does M/OS mean?
A: "M/OS" is our Medium One Size. This size fits women sizes 0 through 8. Our "L" (Large) fits women sizes 8-14. Click here to see a size chart.
5. What are your fabrics made of?
A: All our fabrics are made from Combed Cotton; some fabrics are blends of Combed Cotton and other materials like Spandex or Polyester which add to the unique look and texture of the fabric.
6. What is your return policy?
A: All of our products sold through our online store are unconditionally guaranteed.
7. Washing Instructions?
A: All of American Apparel's products are made with 100% preshrunk combed cotton knit fabric. Expect about 5-7% shrinkage after normal wash. Wash warm, dry low. Although you should not expect any significant fading, wash colors separately from whites, especially on the first wash.

A: There are several ways customers can see our merchandise. Online: Click here to see our online store. Click here to see a PDF of our most recent catalogue. Click here to obtain a list of items that are currently part of the American Apparel matrix. In person: You can come to our Los Angeles or Montreal showrooms and see the garments for yourself.
11. Where are American Apparel's products made?
A: It's not just made in the USA, it's made in downtown LA! All of American Apparel's products are cut and sewn in its downtown Los Angeles facility. We also knit our own fabric on site.
12. What is "sweatshop freeT"?
A: We claim that our products are sweatshop free because we pay our workers a fair wage according to California wage and hour laws which are rarely respected. Unlike other companies who have gone off shore, or use subcontractors, we insist on knowing the faces of our workers. To learn more about American Apparel's politics, click here.
13. Can I return online purchases to an American Apparel retail store?
A: No, online purchases must be returned to our downtown LA factory.
14. Does your company provide printing or embroidery services?
A: No, but we can drop ship to your printer or embroiderer at no additional charge.

A. Yes, everything by American Apparel is produced in the United States, in downtown LA. |
